better way to store genomic DNA for further PCR after CRISPR CAS9 knockout screen

I am currently working on a Crispr Cas9 knockout screen with Brie library, due to the "stay at home" order, I collect my cells and freeze them at -80C for later. I wonder which way could be better for storage: cell pellets or genomic DNA. For genomic DNA, what could be the best way to be stored. Thanks

Cells should be moved to liquid nitrogen or DNA should be extracted and kept in -20. Both will last for a very long time.

Cell pellets can be stored at -80C for quite a while before harvesting genomic DNA. If you do have time, finishing the genomic DNA prep and storing at -20C would be better because you will remove any DNAses and genomic DNA is stable.

sounds cool and I already did so, lucky!

Thank you and I did extract genomic DNA and now they are at -20c!\
